How the working-day calculation works
Enter two dates within the selected year. Both endpoints count. We count calendar dates, remove the weekday numbers you selected as weekends, then remove holiday dates that did not already fall on a weekend. This counts dates, not paid hours or legal leave entitlement.
Worked example: United States, 1–10 July 2026
With Saturday and Sunday off, the 10 calendar dates include 2 weekend days. Independence Day is observed on Friday 3 July, so one additional date is excluded: 10 − 2 − 1 = 7 working days. July 4 falls on Saturday and is not deducted twice. Official OPM holiday schedule.
Coverage and limitations
Calendars are generated from the open-source Python holidays library, version 0.105, retrieved 4 October 2026. They are community-maintained rules, not an official government feed. Estimated dates retain their source labels. Not all countries support every subdivision or English holiday names. Arabic translates this interface and country names; holiday names remain in the source language. No holiday entries does not mean no holidays exist.
Employer, school, bank-only and individual religious calendars are not included. Confirm important dates locally. These dates are not automatically applied to your meeting participants. ICS files contain transparent all-day calendar entries, not invitations or subscriptions. All calculations and document generation run in your browser.
